Privacy Policy
GoFundraise (GF) is committed to protecting your privacy. That's why we will not be passing your details on to any third parties without your permission, other then to your nominated charities as outlined in point 3 below.
By registering with GF you are agreeing to abide by our privacy principles as follows:
- Notification of changes to our privacy policy.By using the GF web site you agree to abide by this Privacy Policy. This policy may change from time to time and we will endeavour to keep our users informed of any changes by notifying them by email or via the web site.
- Your personal information.The information you give us will not be passed on to anyone, unless you agree, excluding point 3 below. GF will collect information about the Internet protocol addresses of our users. This information is only collected in aggregate and we cannot use this information to monitor your usage outside of GF. When you donate online, we collect your name, your address, your email address, your credit card details and track your transactions on GF. This is used only by GF to contact you if you have exceeded our review limits. To find out about review limits, please see section 3 of the security policy. - Your nominated not-for-profit organisation, beneficiary and event organisers. If you want to build your own GF fundraising page, register, purchase tickets or entry, GF will automatically pass on your details to the not-for-profit, beneficiary or other organisation, event organiser for reconciliation, reporting, participant and fundraiser engagement, event management, research and/or the purposes specified. If you are donating to a not-for-profit organisation via the GF website, either directly or via an individual's fundraising page, GF will automatically pass on your details to the not-for-profit organisation you donate to for reconciliation and reporting purposes. During the donation and/or registration process you can opt out of any communication from this not-for-profit organisation. GF cannot, however, take responsibility for any unsolicited communications by the beneficiary, event organisation thereafter. If you wish to stop receiving further communications from a an organisation, event organiser or other body, please contact them directly. We will also be taking steps to inform all party that when in use of our service there is a commitment to these privacy principles.
- Anonymity. If you wish to remain an anonymous donor on public GF web pages please select the 'anonymous' option during the registration/donation process. Your nominated not-for-profit organisation and/or the fundraiser you are donating through will still be notified as to your identity. Please also note that your donation amount and any comments will still be visible on the public GF web pages, however your name will be represented with 'Anonymous'.
- GoFundraise communications. By registering with GF as a fundraiser you are agreeing that GF is entitled to contact you for the provision of services relating to your fundraising. Registered donors will also receive these communications unless otherwise indicated through your right, as a consumer, to opt out. You can opt to stop receiving these newsletters whenever you like.
- Referrals. When you refer our web site to a friend, we will not pass on his or her information, including email address, to any third party.
- Law Enforcement. GF may be required to provide personally identifiable information to the police. This is unlikely, but it could happen. Similarly, GF reserves the right to cancel your membership and delete any fundraising page without notice in the event of a breach of one of our policies. And we will have no hesitation in referring any concerns about illegal use of our service to the police. Having a page on our service in no way implies our endorsement of your page. It is your responsibility to make sure that your page complies with the policies and philosophies of your chosen not-for-profit organisation. GF reserves the right to cancel your fundraising page if your nominated not-for-profit organisation requests us to do so. GF will often provide links to a not-for-profit organisation from the site. The link does not imply endorsement of the not-for-profit organisation.
- Intellectual Property. Our trademarks and our web site is our property and cannot be used without our permission. GF logos, names, domain names and other services cannot be used without our permission. That's our way of maintaining the highest standards of integrity. Other logos and trademarks of other organisations used on our site are the property of their respective owners and may not be used without permission.
- Losses or Damage. GF will not be held liable for any loss or damages arising out of your use of the GF site and services, or your inability to do so, or your reliance on any content related to the site.
